Dragon Goggles
I wish I would they would have had Dragon goggles back when I was little. My parents started me in ski school when I was about 3 years old. They stuck me in ugly pink pantsuits, which were impossible to get out of , big ugly mittens that couldn't open a zipper and huge goggles that squashed my nose and blinded me with fog. I cried constantly, to the mortification of my mother and ski instructors. Left my mittens at ski school and lost that eyewear on purpose.
In the years that followed, my parents continued to buy me ridiculous ski clothes. Being from a fairly wealthy family, my ski clothes were top of the line. In the 1970s and early 80s, top of the line meant stuffed with insulation materials, large heavy sweaters with huge stripes and huge ugly yellow tinted eye protection. At age fifteen, I finally got to wear what I wanted when we went skiing; sunglasses and jeans. You learn quickly, out on the slopes, that sunglasses, while incredibly cool looking, do not work well for skiing. They fog up immediately, fall off consistently and end up doing more harm than good. Half of the time the sun was creeping into my eyes, and the other half I had my glasses off so I didn't run headlong into a tree due to fog. I looked cute at the lodge, though!
I haven't been skiing in about 10 years, so recently I thought I'd do some research on buying gear for an upcoming trip. Rentals are pretty easy to get by on for skis, boots and poles, but I was dreading buying new ski goggles. And then there they were. Dragon Goggles. Where or where were they when I was fifteen? Or twenty? Or twenty-five? Pink stylish Dragon goggles with mirrored lenses in different colors. Oh me, Oh my, I was in girly heaven.
The days of safety eye protection that make you look like a giant bumblebee coming down a mountain are gone. Let the sunshine in! Blue, pink, gray, yellow, any color or style you want, Dragon goggles has you covered. Best of all they are made for skiing! I'm not sure if I'm more excited over the color and design choices than I am about the little flap which keeps your nose warm. The lenses are interchangeable which means you can buy different colors to go with your gear. Its important to note, for those of you that care less about design and more about function, that Dragon goggles are designed for sport and style. It just happens they are very stylish. They have a comfortable and adjustable strap which is important to fit your head if you, like me, fit them over different caps. The lenses are not just colorized for fashion, they are specific lenses for different types of sunlight, be it cloudy or heavy sunlight reflecting snow. The lenses are also scratch resistant and have an anti-fog coating.
There is lots of ventilation, which any skier will tell you is one of the most important factors in eye protection. Goggles that don't fog are not easy to come by. Dragon uses advanced technology originally designed by NASA and it shows in the comfort, fit and design of their product. Thank you for making Dragon goggles-finally I have a pair which I'm not embarrassed to wear!
